This Is It!

Holy Greetings and Happy New Year 2012

It has been some time since I've updated the "Pastor's Pulse", please forgive me.  I will be doing so either bi-weekly or monthly as the Lord leads.  So please come back often and read what "golden nuggets" the Lord has imparted through us.

This segment is entitled "This Is It!"  Let us not, believers, confuse this phrase with the late Michael Jackson's theatrical production or the Kenny Loggins song of the same name (yes, we do live in this world, though we are "not partakers" of it).  I reference to II Timothy 3:1 which states prophetically: "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come."  Perilous from the Greek word chalepos meaning harsh, savage, difficult, dangerous, painful, hard to deal with.  The word describes a society devoid of morality but consumed by vices.  Please realize and share with anybody that will listen that the "perilous times" are here!  I share this emphatically with the saved & unsaved, the young & old, male & female, backsliders, whomever!  This Is It!  These are the last days, continue reading verses 2 thru 9.  The Bible here tells us that people will be characterized by all kinds of self-centered and unnatural perversions.  Some will maintain an outward pretense, speaking the vocabulary of Christianity but refusing the reality that Christian faith expresses. 

Further corroborating evidence that "This Is It!" is found in I Peter 4:17a "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God..."  Be not dismayed at the plight of some prominent church leaders because if it's not right it's wrong.  Jesus said in Mark 4:22 "For there is nothing hid, which shall not be revealed; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come to light."  People who reverence God, "This Is It!"- Hold to God's unchanging hand and do not compromise with our enemy.
